On March 21, 2010 India joined the global cause to help victims of the Haitian earthquake with a hugely successful fund raiser event ‘Hope for Haiti – India Cares’ hosted at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai. This featured performances by Prem Joshua & Band, Shiamak Davar and an auction of art & other memorabilia.

This fundraising initiative was spearheaded by Paul Folmsbee – Consul General of USA in Mumbai, Francois Pujolas – Consul General of France in Mumbai, Gul Kripalani - President (2009-2010) - Indian Merchant’s Chamber and Kaveer Shahani – Founder & CEO, Groove Temple Entertainment, in association with the Rotary Club of Bombay, District 3140.

This was a very special event to be a part of and our efforts raised Rs 95,06,521 towards the UNICEF rehabilitation efforts in Haiti.
